Original Adone headdresses from the small Kurumba tribe (60.000 members) are very rare and in great demand.
Masks like this are danced during the funeral ceremonies of the Adone-Cult. Their shape represents an antelope and they are covered over and over with little geometrical patterns.
This 1940 dated piece is part of the collection of Boris Kegel-Konietzko since the early 1960s. Due to the fact that it has really been danced it can be called a real rarity without any doubt.
Comes with one restored horn and inclusive original collector etiquette and catalogue number 334-3.
